Carrie Finkes
- Being owned by a Belgian Sheepdog and a Golden Retriever has certainly
taught me a lot about patience and humility. I began my life with dogs at
the ripe age of one when my grandparents gave me a German shepherd puppy
for my birthday and have never looked back. I currently compete in
American Kennel Club Obedience and Agility with my 8 year old Golden
Retriever, Tinkerbell. My new pup, Bounce, a 6 month old Belgian Sheepdog,
is training for Obedience, Agility, Herding, Tracking and Conformation.
Previously, I have trained assistance dogs for Support Dogs, Inc and was a
Puppy Class Instructor at the Judy Strickland Dog Training Club for five
years. In 2002 Tinker and I were ranked the #1 Golden Retriever, #3
Sporting Dog and #11 All Breed in the country for competition in Novice A
American Kennel Club Obedience according to Front and Finish magazine. I
look forward to helping you and your family survive puppyhood and getting
you on the path to a well behaved canine companion in your home.
